Course in Embodiment                 Move With Pleasure

Highly skilled bodywork is only part of living in your body as an ideal home.  Regular practice, precise knowledge and a heavy dose of self love are also necessary ingredients. The Course in Embodiment is a series of fourteen 90 minute classes offered in a rotating cycle of topics.  Each 90 minute section includes a guided grounding meditation, a full body flexibility program and an in-depth appreciation of a system or structure that makes up the marvelous you.  Topics rotate in a fourteen week cycle, with a new topic beginning each Sunday and repeated for all sessions of the week.  Please join the course at any point and attend one or all sessions in the week for review or enjoyment, or pick and choose topics that interest you.

There is no set charge for the Course in Embodiment.  Payment is by donation.  No one is turned away for lack of funds.

Pain and Stress – Love your responsive autonomic nervous system and learn to maintain a healthy balance.

Proprioception and Reflexes –Love your unconscious postural and muscular reflexes and learn how to reset them for your best health.

Trigger Points – Love the neural feedback system that you can use to relieve stress and pain.

Oxytocin, Dopamine, Seratonin, Cortisol – Love the hormones that influence and regulate your moods.

Collagen: skin, tendons, ligaments and bones – Love your body’s most abundant protein in its many forms. 

Oxygen, Lymph, Blood and Waste– Love the living flow of elements through your organs and tissues.

Diaphragms and Sphincters – Love the organs that give definition and regulation to your convoluted interior.

Hands, feet, wrist and ankles – Love the parts you use to engage the world.

Arms and legs – Love the limbs that do and move for you.

Pelvic and Pectoral Girdles –Love the bony circles that distribute your weight with beauty and elegance.

Hip and Shoulder – Love the sockets that keep your limbs together.

Cranium – Love the vault that houses your marvelous brain and amazing sensory organs.

Spine -  Love the bending, stretching, twisting, segmented wonder that protects your spinal cord and gives you stature.

Abdomen – Love the center of your vitality.
